Masterminds

Are you committed to navigating the challenges in your career instead of giving up? Join our Mastermind Program and work with a small group of driven, dedicated and diligent theatre professionals all working to achieve their goals.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Mastermind format, the concept was coined in 1975 in Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich.

It’s a small group of smart, talented, driven people who meet once a month either here in New York City or virtually online with guidance of a moderator from my team to tackle their challenges and problems together. They lean on each other, give advice, share connections and even collaborate with each other.

Our Mastermind Program has been an essential part of a success plan for so many members over the years, and has had a tremendous impact on productivity for those who make the commitment to get involved.

7 REASONS A MASTERMIND WILL HELP YOU GET TO YOUR GOALS:

1. COMMUNITY

You will be a part of an exclusive community of professionals that we heavily screen through our application process. These people are the best of the best and will help guide you, and visa versa, along the path to production.

2. ADVISEMENT

Once you are involved in our mastermind, that feeling of “being alone” while running your show is gone. The other members of the group turn into advisors with the help of your moderator.

3. COLLABORATION

In theatre, collaboration is key to your success. You may find someone in the group that is a perfect fit to work on a project with you. Or, you may be the perfect person to help another member as well. The group works together collaboratively, to achieve more together.

4. EXTEND YOUR NETWORK

Joining a Mastermind expands your network exponentially and rapidly. As a theatre professional you know how important your network is. By joining a Mastermind, you instantly add to your network and typically gain the networks of those in the group with you.

5. EDUCATION

Leave the classroom behind! Everyone in the Mastermind is unique in skill, experience and connections. By interacting and sharing your challenges, it’s almost certain that someone in your Mastermind will have a solution for you and you may also be able to offer a solution, connection or tactic to help another in the group.

6. CROSS-PROMOTION

When you join a Mastermind, you will most likely find ways to help each other by utilizing cross promotion. Finding ways to help each other through promoting to your respective networks.

7. THINK BIGGER

Being in a Mastermind will truly give you a Master Mind! You can’t help but think bigger and stretch beyond your boundaries when surrounded by amazing people doing amazing things.

Feedback from Mastermind Members

``The Mastermind group organized by Ken Davenport has been just the kick I need to further my producing career. Instead of hoping and wishing, I now have monthly goals and plans to achieve those goals. Accountability to a group of peers who are also dedicated professionals is invaluable, as is their encouragement and support.``

``I am a current participant in one of Ken's Mastermind groups and the experience has been invaluable! We are a group of six at different stages in our theatre careers. Guided by a thoughtful and supportive facilitator, we share our goals and roadblocks to those goals and offer encouragement and advice to each other. One of my roadblocks is keeping myself on track, and having to hold myself accountable to my colleagues is a great motivator--exactly what I need at this stage! Thanks to this group, I am moving forward on one of my projects much faster than if I were going it alone. I highly recommend joining one of Ken's Mastermind groups!``

``When Ken suggested I join a Mastermind group I thought: Oh no. More money. Why? Because of momentum. It’s one thing to set goals and work hard alone in a room. But a monthly meeting with Masterminds is a place to bitch, schmooze and brainstorm with like minded theater people - all with one aim - to progress. At tonight’s session I see we have all surpassed our goals, or dumped them for better ones, and everybody is progressing, changing, moving up. We are all gathering momentum. And we all know that’s where the magic happens.”
